Mission Statement

The Mission of the library is to promote and advocate literacy and learning, advanced  knowledge, provide a computer center, and enrich the lives of community residents.

The general goals of the Library are: (1) To serve all residents of the community and the surrounding region, (2) to acquire and make available to the residents of above area such books, magazines and pamphlets and other services that will address their needs for personal and professional advancement and enrichment. (3) To maintain and improve upon a program of services which would locate information, guide reading, as well as organize and interpret material for people of various backgrounds and of any age; and (4) to regularly review these goals, and if necessary, modify them in light of new  developments.

Computer Help Classes

Upper Chichester Library will be once again offering computer help classes to the public.
The classes will be $5.00 per class and are scheduled as follows:

Book Discussion: "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho

Wednesday, April 23, 2014  6:30pm—7:30pm

The Upper Chichester Library,  will be holding a book discussion on Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist”,if you have read this book,or are just curious about it,  and would like to join our discussion  please call the library or stop in to register. We are looking forward to more events like this. Please check back for further updates!



Upper Chichester Library receives Boeing Employees Community Fund Grant:

On April 24, 2013 the Upper Chichester Library Board of Trustees hosted a Thank You Wine and Cheese event in honor of the Boeing Community Fund Board members for awarding the Library with a technology grant in Fall 2012.

 With this generous funding the Upper Chichester Library purchased 5 new desktop computers for public use, 2 new desktops for staff use with Windows 8 and Microsoft Office 2010 software. The Upper Chichester Library established 11 years ago two local boy scouts, George and Greg Daniels earning their Eagle Badge, is an independent library funded mainly by the Upper Chichester Township, donations and grants. The library services over 16,000 residents.  


WWII Lecture: Ploesti's Secret Mission

The Upper Chichester Library held a World War II  lecture presented by Rick Mueller on Wednesday October 16th, 2013.  His topic of focus was the Ploesti Mission.  He did a fantastic job and we look forward to more historical lectures in the future! We would like to thank everyone who came out, and look forward to seeing everyone again soon!
